THE POSITION

We’re searching for an enthusiastic independent Duty Manager Intern, who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace and an international team.

As a Duty Manager Intern, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift. You will oversee the work of the front desk and food and beverage teams, and ensure that guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work well under pressure. If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

In the hotel, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As well as lunches and dinners for groups, for our staff canteen and we have two meeting rooms on the 1st floor. Our restaurant, Express Café & Bar Noord, is located on the ground floor of the hotel and has 60 covers. For our lunch and dinner menu, we work together with local suppliers from Amsterdam Noord. Job Requirements

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing walk-through check-ups of the hotel, and filling in duty reports for every shift.
Ensuring that the rooms inventory is in balance and checking VIP rooms.
Maintaining contact with other departments to relate different issues of concern.
Making sure all shifts are covered as scheduled, arranging cover as necessary.
Taking on any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Duty Manager
Participating in statutory training as required by company policy and procedures.

What You’ll Bring
Currently enrolled in an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a degree in another relevant field of study.
Affinity with hotels and hospitality.
Fluent in English, and preferably in Dutch.
EU/EEA national or enrolled in a Dutch institution as we cannot provide visas, permits, or sponsorships.
