JOB DESCRIPTION
The job of Operations Management Intern is executed satisfactorily when:

Coordinate Front Office duties with various departments such as Executive Office, Housekeeping, Engineering and Security to ensure that all guests are given friendly and caring service from their arrival until their departure according to Kempinski Standards in a safe and secure environment.
Keep himself/herself informed of product and service knowledge as well as the hotel daily and meeting activities.
Detailed hotel product knowledge, up-to-date with VIP arrivals & events within the hotel and the destination.
Conduct daily walk through to ensure quality standards.
Coordinate all operational tasks as well as their respective delegation and follow-up.
Re-evaluate work flows to improve and optimize organization.
Implement and evaluate procedures and policies.
Ensure clear communication within departments.
Attend regular departmental/operations meetings.
Evaluate guest feedback and take appropriate actions if needed, and refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle.
Follow up on weekly MOD reports and ensure completion of the recorded areas of improvement.
Complete Kempinski Experience Assessment (KEA) Checks as specified by the hotel management
To review improvements in projects and track renovation projects.
Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and the hotel’s procedures in regards to guest contact and safety.
Assist with identifying training needs, development and performance.
Ensure coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel premises.
Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and distribute to Engineering. Monitor completion of work submitted.
Communicate departmental and guest needs as they arise with respective Housekeeping personnel.
The operations of all Rooms Division related departments are running smoothly.
Understanding of highest guest satisfaction through continuously increasing service levels while optimizing efficiency, occupancy and profitability.
Communicate the projects of the management to the line employees and ensuring implementation.
Ensure and communicate up-to-date procedures for all safety relevant measures with Fire & Safety team.
Conduct daily walk through to ensure quality standards and cleanliness in front and back of the house areas.
Control the technical situation of the departments in rooms divisions.
