Job Description
Oaks Hotels & Resorts are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to assist with the kitchen operations at Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel on a full-time basis.

Work with a multicultural team in a compact high-volume kitchen for the Oak and Vine restaurant, bar and room service. No late hours, we close at 10/11pm!

Key Responsibilities Include:

Working alongside and supervising kitchen team members ensuring excellence and consistency in the product delivered to customers.
Development of new menus and associated costing.
Running stock control and managing all BOH food and wage costs.
Enforcing daily and weekly systems and procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, and product quality.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standards.
Recruiting, inducting, training and rostering of BOH team members.
Qualifications
Previous experience in either a hotel or restaurant environment at a Senior Chef level
Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications
Remain professional and uphold professional standards for you team at all times
Be flexible to work a range of different shifts, including weekends
Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment
Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
