Responsible for assisting the Manager of Reporting in external financial reporting, technical accounting research, tax compliance and tax provision calculation for Genting Americas East.
Essential Duties
Complies with department policies, procedures, internal controls and gaming regulations.
Liaise with other finance departments to ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual reports are submitted by deadlines.
Assists in the efficient, accurate, and timely production of consolidated and statutory financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision calculation.
Assists in coordinating state and federal corporate tax compliance filings with external tax preparers.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
Physical and Mental
Must be able to think analytically, have basic math skills and be able to read and interpret spreadsheets. Ability to formulate and communicate ideas. Proactive and sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Ensure all tasks performed are complete and accurate. Accounting knowledge to ensure all reported financials are true and fair.
Work/Educational ExperienceMust be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
OR Four (4) years’ related financial reporting/accounting work and/or educational experience
One (1) years’ related financial reporting/accounting work and/or educational experience
Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
