Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort boasts a majestic mountainside location at Pauanui Beach on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand’s North Island. The secluded luxury lodge is set amidst 25 acres of New Zealand native bush, on Mt Pauanui in the Coromandel Peninsula. Only two hours’ drive from Auckland, the Resort is known for its distinctive product, service, and outstanding hospitality.
You will have the opportunity to bring your love of exceptional food & service to life, providing our guests a memorable experience to match their surroundings at our resort at the award winning Miha Restaurant.
What You Will Be Doing
Be responsiblefor providing high quality dishes, from preparation, cooking, right through to presentation, at the highest standard.
Uphold and maintain food safety, hygiene & company established standards.
Assist in menu creation, preparation, ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
Ordering & stock control.
Control general & specialised duties including kitchen operation, supervision & training of other kitchen employees.
Your Experience And Skills Include
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally including experience in a la carte.
Customer driven focus & a passion for food.
Trade qualifications & an ability to perform general or specialised cooking, butchering baking or pastry cooking duties.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of workplace health & safetyprocedures & food safety standards.
Ability to work flexibly over a variety of shifts including weekends, mornings & evenings.

Full Time (40hrs per week) with an annual base salary of $64,000 NZD (gross).
