Job Description For Payroll Executive
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our team for the 5 star luxury Hotel located at the World’s island. The Payroll Executive will be responsible for managing payroll operations and ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Administer end-to-end payroll processes for all employees, including data entry, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Process and verify time and attendance records, sick leave, vacation, and other time-off requests.
Ensure accurate deductions for benefits, and other payroll-related items.
Prepare and distribute paychecks or electronic transfers to employees.
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing prompt and accurate resolutions.
Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to compensation or benefits.
Review and reconcile payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Stay updated with payroll regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Prepare payroll-related reports for management and external auditors.
Maintain confidentiality of payroll records and sensitive employee information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the hospitality industry with expatriate employees.
Handled a minimum of 200 staff payroll.
Familiarity with labor laws and employment standards related to payroll.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to generate reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot table, and macros.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Should enjoy working with numbers.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Works well under pressure.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
