IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IT Technical Support Officer, your responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and resolving technical and application problems.
Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and maximizing user benefits.
Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications will be part of your duties.
You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
Troubleshooting system and network problems, identifying, and resolving hardware or software faults will be essential.
Providing support, including creating procedural documentation and generating relevant reports, will be expected.
Managing user accounts, profiles, and addressing password-related issues will be part of your role.
You will also be involved in creating company email accounts and handling website maintenance and management.
Prioritizing and managing multiple open cases simultaneously will be necessary.
Developing strong working relationships with customers and collaborating with professionals, such as software developers, will be important.
Testing and evaluating new technology will be part of your responsibilities.
Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment will be required.
Coordinating with the Business Development Manager on digital marketing strategies will be expected.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a recognized Degree or Diploma in Business Information Technology, System Engineering, Computer Networking and Hardware, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the Travel and Tourism industry.
Familiarity with Travel Industry Software systems.
Strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Excellent prioritization skills to manage workload efficiently.
Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in technical tasks.
Exceptional listening and questioning skills, enabling effective client interactions to identify problems and explain solutions.
Proficient memory of software and operating system functionalities.
Logical thinking abilities to analyze and solve complex issues.
Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
