Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity (IFEC) Systems

Then become part of a team of highly qualified professionals from various departments who work together to ensure development and introduction of new industry leading IFEC equipment into the SWISS fleet.

Tasks

This position provides engineering support/advice to programs/projects related to IFEC development initiatives. This typically includes involvement in all phases to contribute to on-time, on-budget, on-specification delivery in compliance with type certification and regulatory requirements.

Prime tasks:

Supplying technical consultancy
Supporting IFEC projects, starting from product specification, product/supplier selection process, development, testing & certification phases, and integration planning through to delivery on the aircraft, in close cooperation with our Product Management
Participating in all major milestone meetings, which includes Initial Coordination, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Detailed Design Review and First Article Inspection
Ensuring full compliance to all technical and regulatory requirements
Contributing to and supporting a regular information and data exchange with all internal and external stakeholders
Planning, monitoring, and reporting budgetary figures in his/her area of competence and responsibility

Requirements

We are looking for a new colleague with a strong passion for commercial aviation, who ideally already has some years of IFEC Engineering experience. Profound project management skills and solid knowledge of development, certification and integration work are further competences that distinguish you.

Higher educational degree in aeronautical, electrical/electronics or ICT engineering with several years of professional experience in the aviation industry
Specific expertise of IFE&Connectivity systems
Further Avionics knowledge such as Cabin Management&Cabin Intercommunication Systems as well as Lights is an advantage
Design Organisation experience is a strong asset
Proven experience in supporting and delivering projects and working with cross functional teams
Skilled in coordinating and organizing multiple objectives at the same time
Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to always work accurately and reliably
Proven ability in supplier management and working with OEMs and Integrators
Resident in Switzerland or possibility to relocate
Fluent English, German is beneficial
