About the job
As Aircraft Interior Engineer, you ensure cabin standards, oversee modifications and ATA compliance for our Swiss fleet. Your role is crucial for optimization, product enhancement, and cost-saving initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Structure and Interior Engineering, you navigate the demanding aviation landscape.

Tasks

In addition, the Aircraft Interior Engineer may be exclusively assigned to a Cabin Refurbishment Project. Your role involves technical support during the design and development phase with OEMs and suppliers, ensuring specifications are met during manufacturing and cabin implementation.

Responsible for the aircraft interior as per EASA Part M
Support maintenance organization with technical data towards in-service findings as per EASA Part 145
Assess modifications to aircraft interior & related components and systems
Define technical solutions, perform cost benefit analysis & work out implementation plans
Develop inspection programs, repair solutions with manufacturer & maintenance repair organizations
Define technical solutions to maintain the aircraft interior towards standards & reliability targets
Identify technical potentials to reduce operational & maintenance cost
Analyse the root cause of defects, provide recommendations & perform operational risk evaluations
Support the Swiss Quality department, Office of Airworthiness for investigations & root cause analysis

Requirements

You bring experience of 2 years in aviation maintenance with proven practice in airframe maintenance for commercial aircraft. You are a collaborative team-player with clear communication skills. Experience in Project Management preferably in aircraft interior design and certification as a benefit

University degree (or equivalent) in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Deep knowledge of NAA (FOCA) and EASA regulation (145, M, 21)
Analytical and systematic skills including economic basis for cost/benefit analysis
Familiar with Maintenance Information Systems, preferably AMOS
Advanced technical aviation know-how and basic networking in the aviation industry
Practical know how in overhaul process and standards
Cost-efficiency thinking and customer orientation
Self-management, decision management skills and efficiently manage workload
Good communication and conflict management skills
Fluency in written and spoken German as well as English
