Title: Senior Interior Designer
Location: Dublin or London (Hybrid working)
Details: Full-time permanent position. The start date is immediate.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and creative Senior Interior Designer to be part of our busy in-house design team, and hyper-growth environment. The types of projects the Designer will work on will be new hotel properties across the UK and throughout Europe.
Who we are looking for:
Staycity is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to manage and lead projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be competent in leading full hospitality projects throughout all design phases from concept to completion, whilst adhering to Staycity brand guidelines. They will be responsible for creating & producing design work for each project phase while collaborating with the in-house design team and reporting directly to the Head of Design. Key Responsibilities
Manage & lead Staycity projects from inception to completion.
Manage external designers, consultants, and contractors.
Creating and preparing mood boards, sketch layouts, and design presentations.
3D and 2D software, hand-drawn sketches, renders and diagrams.
Preparing drawings, for all design/pre-construction phases inc. 1) Preparation and Brief, 2) Concept/schematic, 3) Developed Design/Spatial coordination, 4) Technical/tender, and 5) Construction packs.
Creating & producing detailed joinery drawings.
Selecting & Creating FF&E schedules, material & finishes schedules.
Liaising and coordinating with internal colleagues/departments.
Travelling to sites across the UK & Europe and carrying out and reports.
Ability to collaborate with in-house design team members and follow instructions from the Head of Design/Design Director. Supporting the design team with other projects, and weekly design team tasks.
Requirements: Experience and Qualifications:
You’ll have 8+ years’ experience in hospitality and be motivated to achieve the highest quality output of design and documentation needed for the execution of multiple projects running simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
A team player, able to support others where necessary alongside their own project work
You will be a highly creative problem-solver, organised, and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills. You must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Microsoft Excel.
Excellent technical drawing skills with a strong technical understanding of joinery detailing.
Experience working on projects across all RIBA stages/design phases and excellent understanding of what information is required at each stage.
Previous success leading hospitality projects from concept to completion, including on-site experience.
Knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU building regulations/code and design standards.
Ability to work within project budgets and deadlines.
Strong concept generation ability, and visualisation skills.
Strong experience in selecting and preparing FF&E/finishes schedules.
Strong spatial awareness and space planning skills
Strong FF&E capabilities with good knowledge and relationship with suppliers globally.
Excellent written and spoken English, and interpersonal and presentation skills. Additional languages are a plus.
