We are a collection of members’ clubs, restaurants, hotels, workspaces and cinemas, catering to those in the film, media, fashion and creative industries. The company has unique ventures throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Asia, with new openings planned globally. The Role…

Since 2015, this has meant building a team with a tech-first culture, rebuilding our backend services from the ground up on cutting edge tech, removing external partnerships and working on an internal cultural shift from traditional enterprise to agile and product-driven. Day to day, we work on the usual challenges of building software, but also spend our time helping educate our peers and transform our culture. We have built a team of around 120 developers, BAs and PMs who work in small scrum teams, with a focus on delivery and education. Ideally you will have a keen interest in working on scalable web applications within a lean agile environment. You should be aware of the latest tech tools and services and have a strong focus on quality and delivery

Responsibilities…

Building and deploying features for our newest digital products—we ship quickly and often when we can
Helping build tooling and improving our ecosystem
Building the occasional feature on our legacy systems
Spending time discussing ideas and implementation, and planning sprints
Helping improve internal process and how we work with the business
Maintaining, contributing to and creating open-source software and visiting talks and conferences
Regular check-ins with mentors and team leads to answer questions and give career guidance and feedback.
Good oral and written communication skills
Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and APIs
Design, implement and maintain software architectures
Integrate with other applications, services and APIs
Working closely with the product and design teams to develop new features
Write unit and integration tests and work with QA to maintain a regression test suite
Keep up to date with the latest development trends and mentor other engineers in the team
Troubleshoot and debug existing applications
Document code and provide technical support
Monitor performance and update existing code to improve efficiency
