Duties and Responsibilities
To generate revenue and maximize the hotel’s market share for Rooms Division and Food and Beverage through aggressive sales by achieving the sales objectives of his/her markets and business segments.
To initiate and drive sales effectiveness of the wholesale/ tour & travel section team/ MICE/DMC/PCO/Event Management Company with focus on the overall account management through effective contracting with key travel operators within local and international markets.
Manage and monitor both contracted wholesale rates ongoing/3 months forward and develop and implement promotional rate offers, in line with competitor rates and market fluctuations.
To achieve the monthly budget/forecast whichever is higher for the hotel, for wholesale, adhoc groups, contract crews and MICE segments.
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through relationships, telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspection and written communication.
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. Monitors and evaluates contemporary sales and marketing initiatives and trend.
To ensure that rate strategies and daily pricing are in line with comp set aimed at driving maximum yield and revenue for hotel.
To participate in the negotiation of all local and international account contracting yearly, finalize all bookings/contracts in a timely manner servicing guests through the proper sales process.
Monthly monitoring of the room night production of wholesale, ensuring that room night, average rate and revenue production are in line with budget/forecast and to recommend strategies/action plans to overcome shortfalls proactively.
Requirements:
Performance and result-driven mindset, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong ability to prioritize workload, demonstrating organization and structured approach to sales activities.
Proactive and self-starting attitude, taking initiative, and being driven to achieve sales objectives without constant supervision.
Proficiency in computer literacy, with knowledge of hotel systems being advantageous.
Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to overcome obstacles and objections to secure profitable business deals.
Ability to see challenges as opportunities and maintain a positive attitude in the face of obstacles.
