JOB DESCRIPTION
The job of Marketing Communication Officer is executed satisfactorily when Marketing Communication functions are planned, coordinated and implemented. Day-to-day activities of the Marketing Communication office are running smoothly, with the directive of the Director of Marketing Communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative/secretarial support for public relations office.
Handle daily correspondence/financial documents such as purchase order, expenses claims, etc.
Handle phone calls.
Coordinate and arrange appointment and schedule.
Maintain filing system.
Handle all agencies/vendors invoices and act as contact point for billing matters.
Maintain all internal communications channel updated, my.kempinski.com etc.
Play support role in developing hotel Public Relations budget by updating budget figure periodically.
Maintain a) accurate press list; b) targeted press release distribution: c) on-going review of media needs/initiation of newsworthy stories.
Ensure all press releases are up-to-date, accurate and accessible by media on the website.
Answer surveys and inquiries from media.
Assist and help coordinate Marketing Communication projects, including but not limited to:Sponsorship
Award events
Press conferences and press events
Maintain updates of the Public Relations and crisis management manuals.
Monitor the usage and find ways to maximize the usage of Mind Your Language (online editing service) to make sure delivering the most accurate messages both internally and externally.
Keep the information under Public Relations sections on the internet and my.kempinski.com accurate.
Manage and monitor news coverage and collate press clippings from assigned territories to ensure that publicity and significant, relevant news is shared appropriately internally.
Monitor fans’ comments on social media and alert Director of Marketing Communication to posts that require a response.
Collate and compile the monthly Marketing Communication reports and submit in a timely manner.
Liaise with Picture Park for image uploading on image library.
Compile bi-monthly news round-up and best quotes.
