The iconic Beverly Hilton is looking for a Host / Hostess to join the Food and Beverage Team at our 3-meal restaurant, Circa 55!

Since 1955, the hotel has hosted memorable moments etched in history from dazzling red carpet events to celebrity galas and we want you to be a part of the team who combines the excitement and entertainment of Hollywood with the prestige of Beverly Hills.

This Forbes 4-Star hotel has over 500 rooms, 60,000 square of feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a lounge, and in-room dining.

Shift: Various – must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Union Position: This position is part of the Local 11 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Prior experience working in a Restaurant required
Prior host/hostess experience preferred
Ability to work different shifts (incl. days/evenings/weekends/holidays)
Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs.
Prior luxury hotel experience is ideal
Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) with or without reasonable accommodation

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Host / Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
Seat guests and manage the seating chart
Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
Ensure knowledge of menu
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships

Pay Range: The hourly rate is $20.03 – $25.04 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
