Title: Volunteer Experience Manager
Reporting: Position reports to VP of International Programs
Salary Range: 45K-55K

Flexibility: 3 days per week in office (Tu-Th); 2 days per week work from home (M/F)

Description: Spearhead the coordination of Service Trips, Adventure Treks & CauseCamps as it relates to sales, pre-registration, registration, and all customer service needs.
Service Trips & Adventure Treks Coordination
Create, prepare, launch, and organize applications for all service trips & adventure treks
Keep trip presentations and informational sessions updated at all times
Responsible for making sure that we get all volunteers to sign up for their Community Contribution Fee (CCF) fundraising pages making sure that we maximize the fundraising potential
Organize data & make sure all payments (trip cost, camp cost and CCF) are being collected properly and on time. Follow up monthly with payments that are declined
Purchase flights for staff, interns, volunteers, etc. throughout the year.
Communicate with parents and volunteers, answering emails and phone calls before, during, and after service trips
Send out and confirm service hours for all high school participants after every summer
Collect data on purchased gear, shirts, service trip kits through application and coordinate the purchase for these items have everything ready for distribution beginning in late April (BLUE Store)
Create schedule for airport check-in of groups during the summer
Create & update presentations for different potential groups (schools, universities, churches, corporations, gyms, sports teams, etc.)
Schedule and lead all presentations to promote service trips and adventure treks by means of visiting these locations in addition to doing them at locations, via zoom or google meet
Prepare and provide any quotes/proposals needed for service trips & adventure treks
Participate at local and national events and conferences to promote service trips & adventure treks
Work with marketing department to develop strategy to promote service trips and adventure treks
Update profiles on GoAbroad and GoOverseas. Respond to inquiries through these sites
Lend support to CauseCamps as needed for their registration and customer support needs
Service Trips & Adventure Treks Preparation
Organize informational sessions prior to launching applications
Update all decks and presentations for preparation meetings. Schedule dates and times for prep meetings
Work with the marketing department to create videos and content to promote and prepare participants
Work with partners in the Dominican Republic to prepare and coordinate logistics for each group, details of service trips, volunteer numbers, flights, etc
Create summer schedule for interns, lodging, transportation, etc
Work with volunteers to effectively explain how to fundraise your CCF
Create content of emails that will be sent to volunteers from the moment they apply to when they come back from their trip and after
Fellows, Interns, Chaperones
Modify and improve the training program for fellows/interns who will be leading service trips and adventure treks
Open intern/fellow/chaperone applications, review candidates, schedule interviews, accept, and train
Work with our partners in the Dominican Republic to train and prepare Dominican Interns
Modify and improve intern and chaperone handbooks yearly
Organize summer schedule of fellows, interns, staff, etc.
Prepare trip binders for every service trip
Communicate with fellows and interns throughout the summer to check in, answer any questions, and make sure everything is going smoothly
Coordinate annual wilderness training for new fellows and interns
Other
Participate in overall strategic planning for the organization
Work as needed with our team, helping organize any local fundraising events
Compensation: From $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
