Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort boasts a majestic mountainside location at Pauanui Beach on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand’s North Island. The secluded luxury lodge is set amidst 25 acres of New Zealand native bush, on Mt Pauanui in the Coromandel Peninsula. Only two hours’ drive from Auckland, the Resort is known for its distinctive product, service, and outstanding hospitality.
You will have the opportunity to bring your love of exceptional food & service to life, providing our guests a memorable experience to match their surroundings at our resort at the award winning Miha Restaurant.
What You Will Be Doing
Ensure the efficient production of mise en place for service.
Prepare and serve a la carte breakfast and dinner menus with creative flair.
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment ensuring food safety standards are met.
Liaising with the culinary team on day to day operations and movements.
Your Experience And Skills Include
Excellent communication skills to liaise with the team in a vibrant environment.
The ability to work well under pressure ensuring standards are maintained.
Experience preparing and serving a la carte.
Knowledge of food safety standards and workplace health and safety
A trade certification or having completed an apprenticeship.
Previous experience in a hotel environment is advantageous.
