The SWISS Nominated Person Ground Operations (NPGO) organisation is responsible to the FOCA for compliance with the regulatory requirements and standards for SWISS ground and cargo operations.

Starting date: September 01, 2023 or upon agreement

Tasks

The NPGO Office uses various measures and tools to ensure that all legal and compliance requirements are adhered to in the NPGO’s area of responsibility. In this context, the NPGO Office is the contact for the stations and the regional management.

Ensuring legal & compliance by evaluating the legal requirements
Ensuring compliant documentation and further development of processes and procedures
Coordination of system-relevant interfaces and interface definition
Providing support to the stations and interfacing with regional management in matters relating to ground and cargo operations
Participation in the cooperation with the NPGO Offices within the Lufthansa Group
Conducting ground operations station assessments and safety inspections
Management, maintenance and development of the measures for the monitoring and control of the operations surveillance in terms of safety and compliance

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in ground operations or comparable positions
Comprehensive knowledge of processes, procedures and interfaces in station, ground and flight operation (aircraft handling, load control, passenger handling, station management, cargo handling)
Profound knowledge and experience in the field of safety management systems
Strong analytical skills, quick perception of organizational setups and processes
Good technical understanding and advanced IT user skills
Distinct quality awareness
Assertiveness and conflict management skills
Very good communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken German and English, other languages would be an advantage
Willingness to travel globally (approx. 20%)
