Watamu is a small beach town located in the Malindi sub-county, Kilifi County. It is famously known for Watamu Marine National park and reserve. The defining features of this town are sandy beaches and coral gardens. The marine park is considered one of the best snorkeling and diving areas on the coast of East Africa. Its beach is rated to be the third best beach in Africa for its crystal clear water and silver sand beaches.
