JOB DESCRIPTION
Event Coordination & Management:
· Handle event management for all events and produce accurate and timely event orders with revenue forecasted correctly in all fields.
· Build relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their needs and requirements and provide solutions to match in order for a successful event.
· Ensure all deposits are received and paid in accordance to contract terms.
Commercial Focus & Revenue:
· Be aware of the key revenue goals and targets of the department to focus all activities towards achieving these goals.
· Maximise profitability using the event management system and events diary.
· Effective diary management and selling strategies for additional requests.
Marketing Administration & Coordination:
· Champion brand values and ensure the hotel adheres to brand and product standards and positioning, identity and guidelines in all communication (visual, print and electronic).
· Contribute creative promotional ideas for outlets and catering sales.
Website Management:
· Be responsible for marketing content on all brand and third-party websites including but not limited to online travel agents (OTA) and GDS (copy, images, promotions) to ensure effectiveness for the relevant target audience and source market.
· Manage the brand website compliantly and ensure quality audits are regularly run and reported on.
Digital Marketing & Social Media:
· Prepare a fortnightly plan for social media and execute on activities after approval from management.
· Review and update offers and promotions for ease of use and maximum customer reach.
Tactical Promotion:
· Ensure the hotel evaluates and participates in any regional, area and global promotions.
· Align all tactical promotions with hotel positioning.
Sponsorships, Partnerships & Public Relations:
· Develop partnerships and professional relationships within the local market and ensure you are a brand ambassador for the hotel.
· Identify and recommend partnership opportunities that will fit the brand.
