BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Manager holds the responsibility for driving business development efforts, which includes managing key accounts, conducting market research to identify and expand into new travel destinations, prospecting for potential customers, and meeting sales targets.
Additionally, the Business Development Manager oversees the management of business resources, including personnel and internal assets. This role requires resourcefulness and analytical skills to lead teams and make independent business decisions.
Foster strong internal relationships with support functions, promoting a collaborative approach across the organization.
Serve as a liaison between support services, tour operators, and members, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
Take charge of raising awareness about the company within the travel industry, utilizing social media platforms.
Plan and execute marketing activities and strategies, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals.
Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
Represent the business at industry events to enhance its presence and networking opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to drive marketing initiatives and maximize sales efforts.
Develop and implement training and development plans for the Sales Team to enhance their skills and performance.
Prepare sales contracts, ensuring compliance with established legal rules and guidelines.
Arrange and conduct business development meetings with potential clients.
Analyze sales reports to identify key trends and provide weekly updates on sales activities and opportunities.
Develop quotes and proposals tailored to prospective clients’ needs.
QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a recognized Degree or Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management/Business Commerce or Business Management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within the Travel and Tourism industry.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with individuals.
Proficient in attracting new customers through diverse marketing channels, including social media.
Demonstrates leadership abilities.
Capable of managing people and fostering a positive work environment.
Adapts their approach to meet individual needs.
Outgoing and flexible in their work style.
Acts as a positive team player, motivating others.
Proven track record of consistent attendance and punctual
