About The Den ‘s-hertogenbosch
Discover ‘s-Hertogenbosch’s 160-room lifestyle hotel with a gym and 5 meeting rooms for groups of up to 70 people. On March 28, 2022, The Den, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, opened as part of the Odyssey Hotel Group and franchise of Marriott International. With its location between city and nature, The Den is ideally accessible, located within walking distance of downtown and Central Station Den Bosch in the Paleiskwartier.
Hotel The Den takes inspiration from the converging waters of its fortified city of Den Bosch. When you step into the hotel, you immediately recognize this in the modern design with flowing lines and organic shapes, symbolizing the rivers. The city’s Burgundian lifestyle is embraced with the lively Living Room, which then flows into the restaurant and bar downstairs. Restaurant & Bar The Den offers casual all-day-dining, where you can go all day for the best classics, a good cup of coffee & a nice glass of wine. For those who want to go all-out, take the elevator up to Den Bosch’s first rooftop terrace: Current Rooftop Restaurant & Bar. THE POSITION
As a Front Office Employee at The Den, you will be responsible for the entire front desk along with the Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, Guest Experience Coordinator, Front Office Shift leaders and other Front Office Staff. You will take care of reservations, check-in and check-out, preparing VIP arrivals, responding to guests’ special occasions (including birthdays, anniversaries) and everything else that happens on a daily, spontaneous basis within hotel The Den.
You will be focusing on operational management and assisting guests during the shift. In consultation with the managers, various administrative tasks that can be performed during the shift will be added. You describe yourself as a true host / hostess and can inspire your colleagues to achieve set targets, for such things as guest satisfaction and enrolments!
YOUR KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Performing general Front Office duties which include helping guests, checking-in and checking-out, answering phone and email and providing general information;
Providing other services to guests such as booking cabs and making restaurant reservations;
Closing the cash register and checking outstanding accounts;
Preventing and handling complaints within the hotel’s and Marriott International guidelines;
Ensuring high service by actively creating WOW moments for guests together with your team;
Inspiring and motivating your immediate colleagues;
Contributing to ensuring that the Front Office Team lives up to all the standards of Tribute Portfolio & Marriott International.
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You are enthusiastic about giving guests the best stay in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and are willing to really go that extra mile for them! You have a warm personality and know how to connect people. You also bring us the following:
At least MBO 4 education completed, preferably in the direction of Front Office or Hotel Management;
At least 1 year working experience in Front Office;
Experience with Opera is not required, but a nice-to-have;
Dutch and English speaking skills.
